A private place within a shared workspace
Newport Foundry is a coworking space in Newport, Melbourne. Its FocusPod Solo gives members somewhere to step away from the shared area for a phone call, a video meeting or work that needs their attention.
The single-person pod fits beside an existing wall, adding an enclosed workspace within the room. Its white exterior, glass front and grey interior sit alongside the Foundry’s curtains, plants and shared seating.
Ready for the next call
Inside, a desk, upholstered stool and overhead lighting create a straightforward place to settle in. The glass door keeps the pod visually connected to the workplace while giving the person inside a separate space.
The finished photograph shows the Solo in its everyday setting at Newport Foundry. The closer views below show the interior and how the door opens into the surrounding room.
Our Melbourne showroom
This installation is also our Melbourne showroom. You can visit Newport Foundry to try the FocusPod Solo in a working coworking space: step inside, close the door and get a feel for the space and finishes.
The pod on display is a white FocusPod Solo with a grey interior. The showroom is at 2/22 Mason Street, Newport VIC 3015. Visits are by confirmed appointment, arranged through FocusPod.

Planning a similar space?
Make every square metre work harder
Start with the task members need space for, then check the pod footprint, door swing and circulation around it. A well-placed single-person pod can add a useful facility within an existing shared workspace.
